Marginal standing

haaretz.com, Israel – A few immigrants from Ethiopia were standing together at the side of the road on election day, confused. “I cast my first vote in Israel and you want to write about that in the newspaper?” asked Brano Mulualem, who came here two years ago. Apparently, the election only marginally impacted the lives of Mulualem and others residing in the country’s largest absorption center, in Mevasseret in Jerusalem. “The politicians did not come here,” said Almaio Marsha. “What would they have gained from it?” –More–
