Egyptian investor poised to set up USD 300mln industrial park

Ahmed Ahmed Sadiq Elsewedy, an Egyptian investor who owns a significant majority of the cable factory in Dukem which was inaugurated on Tuesday, has requested a two million sq. m. plot to set up an industrial park in Ethiopia, Trade and Industry Minister Girma Biru told The Reporter. The industrial park is projected to cost over USD 300 million, according to Eng. Ibrahim Qamar, general manager of Elsewedy Cables Ethiopia Plc., the company under which the “first-of-its-type” cable factory in the country is operating. Read more
