Beles to start generating power in two weeks

belesThe country’s biggest hydropower project, Beles, which is expected to generate 460 megawatts, is going to start operating in the next two weeks.
One of the four turbines at Beles with an installed capacity of generating 115 MW is scheduled to start powering the national grid in mid April. Sources told Capital that the test for power generation would be done while connected to the national grid, unlike previous tests. These sources added that the other three turbines would enter the national grid gradually as part of the test trial, with one coming online every three weeks. Full text
