Ethiopians arrive today for Eagles tie

March 24, 2011

The Ethiopians will be camped at the NICON Luxury Hotel but will not get to have their first feel of the playing turf of the Abuja National Stadium until tomorrow.

They will also get to train once a day on the pitch leading up to Sunday’s match.

The Ethiopians are however scheduled to depart Abuja on Monday evening aboard Ethiopia Airline.

Meanwhile, the match officials for Sunday’s game will arrive Nigeria tomorrow.

The Match Commissioner for Sunday’s African Nations Cup qualifier between Nigeria and Ethiopia is Hesham Salah from Egypt, and he is expected to fly straight into Abuja aboard an Egypt Air flight and land five minutes before midnight.

The Tunisian centre referee Slim Jedidi, and his assistants Bechir Hassani and Mohsen Ben Salem, as well as the fourth official Yosr Saadallah, also from Tunisia, will fly into Nigeria aboard a Lufthansa Airlines flight that is expected to arrive Abuja tomorrow afternoon.
