Sporadic fighting rocks Tripoli

Witnesses said forests around the capital were full of Gaddafi snipers.

According to Al Jazeera correspondents, snipers also posed a threat to rebel fighters in Bab al-Aziziya, a day after the compound was overrun.

Al Jazeera’s Evan Hill, reporting from Gaddafi’s compound, said sporadic gunfire, explosions and rocket fire could still be heard on Wednesday morning. Read more (Al Jazeera)
