Fano Forces Launch Unified Movement Across Amhara Region

Ethiofact – In a significant development, the Fano Forces have announced the initiation of a unified movement aimed at strengthening the struggle of the Amhara people against what they describe as an oppressive government. This announcement comes after twenty months of ongoing conflict, during which the Amhara people has faced severe challenges and threats to their existence.

The Fano Forces have reported that, despite operating in a fragmented manner, they have successfully inflicted considerable losses on the enemy, impacting military and economic structures. They have condemned the actions of the government, led by Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed, labeling them as a direct threat to the survival of the Amhara people.

“Our survival is based on our unity,” a spokesperson for the Fano Forces stated. “We must not allow any entity that seeks to undermine our collective strength to succeed. This struggle is not merely political; it is a matter of our identity and existence.”

As part of their renewed efforts, the Fano Forces have commenced a military operation targeting all military camps and bases within the Amhara region. This operation is seen as a demonstration of their unity and strength, essential for the survival of their people.

The Fano Forces are calling for a united front among the Amhara people, emphasizing that they will not rest until their survival is assured. “Our struggle is a testament to our resilience and determination,” they declared. “We will continue to fight for our rights and our existence as a people.”

The movement is poised to galvanize support among the Amhara community, as they rally together in the face of ongoing challenges. The Fano Forces’ commitment to unity and resistance marks a pivotal moment in their ongoing struggle for survival.

About Fano Movement

FANO’s primary objective is to dismantle the current anti-Ethiopia and anti-Amhara ethnic-based apartheid system, advocating for an inclusive democratic governance that upholds multi-party democracy, individual rights, the Rule of Law, and Human Rights. The movement envisions a modern political framework suitable for the 21st century, arguing that the existing system has led to ethnic cleansing, genocide, famine, and civil war, resulting in the loss of millions of lives and unprecedented suffering in Ethiopian history.

Rooted in the critical survival struggle of the Amhara people, FANO is driven by a resolute commitment to end the systematic genocide, ethnic cleansing, and displacement that have plagued the Amhara people for the past 30 years. The movement seeks to address these injustices and foster a future where all Ethiopians can coexist peacefully and equitably.
